So I'm sitting in a lab with a herd of customers, and one of them
notices a little shorter-than-baby-tower box sitting next to a monitor
on one of the benches. It's got pretty lights on it, and buttons, and
nifty stuff like that. He wanders up to it, and says, "Oh, is that one
of those new Alphas?"[0]

How do you tactfully tell a customer that the new high-end workstation
he's all impressed by is really an UPS?[1]

[0] It wasn't.
[1] Well, sir, that's a 60Hz Uninterruptible ... um ... *Processing
System*. See? Says 'UPS' right there on the box. No, sir, it
does *not* run NT. You'll have noted that I said 'Uninterruptible',
sir. Asking ti to run NT would hardly be sporting...
