Ok.  I'll rephrase:

We have a sort-of-TV-looking-thing which acts as our B5TP [0] gateway,
and a sort-of-cable-bo-looking-thingie which is our B5TP router.

And families are these things which I seem to recall having had once. 
Back before my father bought me that Timex Sinclair when I was in the
fifth grade[3].

Boy, what *that* a mistake.

Although, IIRC, it was easier to admin than an NT box...
