Not the only difference. Morden's "associates" really did have superior
technology, whereas Microsoft is more like the Saturday Night Live aliens
who found a spaceship and, armed with muskets, tried to invade Earth so
they could have human slaves to maintain their worldwide network of dirt
roads.
I have to admit, though, it would have been awfully funny if instead of
asking "What do you want?", Morden has asked "Where do you want to go
today?"
