Cairo

Hahaahhahahahaaaa....

>From Neutron's "N-Zine".

======================

3. Windows NT 5.0 to Debut in Mid-1997

What was originally code-named "Cairo" by Microsoft has
manifested itself in plans for Windows NT. Many of the ideas
that comprised "Cairo" have already been seen in NT 4.0, but
its grandest features are to be seen in NT 5.0, which will be
released in mid-1997.
Some of the features in NT 5.0 appear to make NT more
like Unix - which is the reason, perhaps, that some speculate
about the eventual merger of Unix and NT into one operating
system. What's new in NT 5.0?

	- Administrators of NT systems will be able to
	  define network privileges for users

	- NT networks will be able to link to Unix networks

	- Kerberos security features will be included

	- An ActiveX enabled interface for administrative
	  input

Watch for this development from Microsoft in mid-1997.
