Bad news for phone psychics
Floria is suing one of those telephone psychic companies. The
problem, it seems, is that the company misled its customers about its
service because it is not actually testing its psychics to make sure
that they really have psychic powers:

Barbara Melit, another former telephone psychic, said her colleagues
"came in off the street. They were alcoholics. They had no experience
whatsoever as being a psychic. ... They had hit bottom and they
basically needed a job to keep them supplied with alcohol and drugs."
