[separately posted in bofh.compfh.ibm.pc and the monastery]

I have proof of the satanic connection between Micro$oft and...other things
that are best left unspoken of.

Went into Computer City[1] this weekend, and there was this display perched
near the entrance. I had gone without my glasses, so I had to take a second
and third look, because what I thought I saw chilled me to the bone...

It was a large box, Micro$loth logo in the corner, had a picture of a smiling
child holding...no, it can't be. Not even Bill is *that* low...

...it was. The child was holding a B'harnei doll. Microsoft was marketing it.

That did it. I went home, loaded my dad's antique 8-gauge shotgun[2], and
blew away the home machine.[3]

[1] It was a Sunday! I *had* to have some CD jewel cases! My usual computer
parts place was closed! I *swear*!
[2] Affectionately known as "the Monster". I have to use homeloaded shells--I
can't find ready-made 8-gauge shells. You can hunt houses with this baby.
[3] It was the only way. I had to destroy the PC in order to save it. It had
Lose95 on it.

I still <shudder> when I think about it
